Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker is a great leader and has the respect of most MLB fans, media, and analysts.

He had achieved that status even before winning the World Series last weekend.

Now that he knows what is like to win a Fall Classic, the baseball community has been really happy for him.

The 73-year-old former player and current skipper is happier than we have ever seen him, and that’s really something.

The Astros had their parade on Monday after winning the championship on Saturday.

Thousands of fans were able to celebrate the second World Series title in franchise history, with the first one coming in 2017.

Baker, of course, was at the center of it all.

Baker Is Receiving All The Love, Praise, And Applause

He was soaking every ounce of love and recognition fans gave him, making sure to wave to every part of the crowd.

Not that we needed Baker winning the World Series trophy as validation, but it’s really nice to see him winning his first ring.

He is the definition of a baseball lifer.

After a brilliant playing career that extended from 1968 to 1986, he started coaching in 1988 with the San Francisco Giants until 1992: the year after that, he got his first managerial opportunity and didn’t look back.

The game has given Baker a lot of things, but he has also given so much back: more than 2,000 victories, numerous playoffs memories, and now the greatest achievement of all.

Baker has every reason to be happy and to smile, knowing that he led a formidable ballclub to a World Series title.

Not many people can brag about that.

He is truly one of the great managers in MLB history.
