The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to be an interesting team to watch out for during the 2024 NFL season as they’ve got two quarterbacks worth starting.

The Steelers signed Russell Wilson to a one-year deal after he was released by the Denver Broncos, but they also went out and traded for Justin Fields.

Right now, Wilson is projected to be the starter though Fields’ presence means they can move on from the veteran should he struggle on his new team.

Aside from the offense, the defense could also use an infusion of talent in the secondary after the team was burned numerous time through the air last season.

This year’s 2024 NFL Draft doesn’t feature a ton of depth at the cornerback position though there are a few prospects that could develop into true shutdown corners.

Former Pittsburgh defensive back Bryant McFadden believes that the team could go corner if either Terrion Arnold or Quinyon Mitchell are available at No. 20, via Steelers Depot on Twitter.

“Man, if either (Terrion) or (Quinyon) are there at (pick 20), there’s nothing to think about. If either one of those guys are there for Pittsburgh at 20, we go get one of those guys. Whoever is available. I don’t think that happens, I don’t think there’s a scenario,” McFadden said.

Arnold and Mitchell are the consensus top-two cornerbacks in the draft and are expected to be off the board by the time the Steelers pick at No. 20.

However, to McFadden’s point, either player would be a no-brainer pick if they somehow slid that far down the first round.
