The Baltimore Ravens had a rough season once Lamar Jackson went down with his PCL injury.

However, backup quarterback Tyler Huntley did his best filling in for Jackson, which led to a playoff bid for the team.

While he didn’t win in the playoffs, he kept the Ravens close in their playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Since his playoff loss, most fans have gone back to their talks of Jackson’s future with the team.

However, Huntley is getting a surprising honor which fans never saw coming for the backup quarterback.

With Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen opting out of the Pro Bowl, Huntley now fills in for him in Las Vegas.

Allen was an alternate for the AFC team, but is opting out to let his body “rest and recover” from this season.

While fans will miss him, it gives Huntley a once in a lifetime opportunity.

With the Pro Bowl being the hallmark for elite players, Huntley sneaks in as a backup who only played in five regular season games.

Of those five games, he was the starter in four games.

The move now gives him a chance to showcase his talents during all the events leading up to the Pro Bowl.

While the move is a shock, it gives Huntley a chance he never could have imagined this season.

However, the chance he is now given is thanks to the rough season Allen endured.

With him going through injury scares, he’s wisely allowing himself the rest he deserves.

That rest is Huntley’s ticket to show everyone what he can do with some of the best players in the NFL.
