Things might be looking up a little for the Baltimore Orioles.

Though they still sit in dead last in the American League East division, they have come to within five games of the .500 mark and are 7-3 in their last 10 games.

They also just clinched their first winning calendar month since August of 2017.

But one man in particular is starting to catch fire, and that is catcher Adley Rutschman.

Ever since being called up, the 24-year-old catcher has hit three home runs and posted a respectable .730 OPS.

MLB tweeted a highlight of him hitting a solo home run last night against the Seattle Mariners.

Heating Up

Rutschman is still hitting just .234, but with the way he hit that ball, it looks as though he’s starting to heat up.

In his previous 15 games, he is hitting for a .327 average and has been providing a spark for this young Orioles team.

Granted, there hasn’t been much to cheer about for this team or its fans.

But Rutschman is one reason for fans to get excited.

He’s been a key factor for the Orioles in their recent uptick in wins and is going to be a key piece in the future for them as they look to continue their rebuild and build the next great team in Baltimore.

It’s been years since the Orioles were last a postseason contender, but Rutschman is one of the key building blocks for them as they look to finally get back to that point.

Fans in Baltimore have plenty of reason to be excited now, as Rutschman is finally starting to heat up and show the baseball world what he can do out on the field.
