The Nets Hold An Unfortunate NBA Title

The 2022-23 NBA season hasn’t had an incredible start for the Brooklyn Nets.

They currently hold a 1-2 record, which means that things could be worse but, of course, a lot better too.

There are some very troubling signs from within the Nets, like the fact that Ben Simmons can’t seem to stop fouling and the team is still losing games even with both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving scoring more than 30 points.

But perhaps the most troubling thing about the Nets is their lackluster fanbase.

According to the New York Post, who would know a thing or two about NY sports, the Nets are “dead last” when it comes to season ticket sales.

That’s not a good sign for Brooklyn and shows that even with two of the biggest stars in the league, people just don’t believe in this team.

The Negatives Of The Nets

Since the start of last season, the Nets have had a slew of problems related to Kyrie Irving and his COVID vaccination status, traded away an unhappy James Harden for an injured Simmons, got swept in the first round of the playoffs, almost lost Durant in the summer, and were the butt of just about every joke in the league.

You can’t blame Nets fans for being a bit exhausted with this team.

Additionally, it should be noted that some people feel New York will always belong to the Knicks, much like Los Angeles will always belong to the Lakers, no matter how bad they get.

Compiling a strong, steady fanbase has always been a challenge for the Nets – but this last year has made it even harder.
