The NBA season is upon us.

While the sports world is still focused heavily on the MLB postseason, there are other things to look forward to.

The unfortunate reality of being a professional sports team in New York City is that there are so many others out there.

The New York Mets are feeling the full effects of that right now.

With the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks beginning their seasons today, the Mets sent good luck tweets out to both teams.

One Mets fan took screenshots of the team’s tweets and posted them on Twitter with the caption “Rooting for both?”

Mets Undecided On Knicks, Nets

Here is yet another reason for Mets fans to be frustrated with their team.

First, they win 101 games during the regular season, barely miss out on an NL East title, then go down in the Wild Card Series.

Now, they can’t decide which NBA team to root for on Opening Night.

Pick a side, Mets!

That is another unfortunate reality about being a professional sports team in New York.

When teams of other sports get going and there are multiple teams in your city, you have a tough time deciding who to root for and don’t want to badmouth either one of them.

But at a certain point, a decision has to be made on who to root for, right?

The Mets clearly are nowhere near making that decision on top of losing in the Wild Card Series after a 101-win regular season, and their fans are clearly having none of it.

We’ll see if they can choose their allegiance before tip-off tonight, or if they’ll be stuck trying to decide who to root for.
