Skip Bayless Explains Why Draymond Green Got Off Easy

Everyone is once again talking about Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors.

However, the conversation is not about Green’s punch of Jordan Poole last week.

Instead, now everyone is speaking about the fact that Green was only fined for that attack and will be back with the team on Thursday.

He avoided a suspension, which surprised – and angered – many.

Therefore, the Warriors remain at the center of controversy.

ESPN’s Skip Bayless gave his two cents about the lack of suspension for Green:

“If the Warriors had not prevailed against the Celtics, I believe Draymond Green would be suspended for a long time because there would be nothing to run back and love. You wrist-slapped him.”

Bayless said that the team is still flying high because of their Finals win and are desperate to keep the team intact in order to win another season.

Referring to Green as the “glue” of the team, Bayless proposed that the Warriors are bringing him back to keep the team’s chemistry strong.

But will he still be the glue in the new season?

Will Green Still Leave?

Bayless is right when he said that Green holds the team together and plays a major part in its chemistry.

But perhaps he won’t be so important to the team moving forward.

Will the squad be able to truly move forward and welcome Green back?

Or has he impaired his standing with the squad?

There is a chance that Green won’t be seen as a team leader anymore and his relationship with others could be damaged.

At the same time, maybe this really is behind them and they are about to have yet another wonderful season.
