Saints HC Reveals Chris Olave’s Status For Thursday’s Game
The New Orleans Saints have a 7-7 record and are in a tight battle for a playoff spot in the NFC, not to mention first place in the NFC South.
They’re currently tied record-wise with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but Tampa Bay holds the tiebreaker, giving them first place in the division, at least for now.
New Orleans will visit the Los Angeles Rams, who are also 7-7 and fighting for a playoff spot, on Thursday, and a question mark for them has been the status of wide receiver Chris Olave, who has been dealing with an ankle injury.
According to head coach Dennis Allen, Olave will suit up on Thursday, per Jeff Duncan.
Chris Olave will be good to go for Thursday vs the Rams, Dennis Allen said. Ryan Ramczyk is out again.

This is a fortunate development for the Saints, as wideout Michael Thomas has been out since last month with a knee injury.
Olave is leading his team with 918 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns this season, and he has become arguably its biggest offensive threat along with running back Alvin Kamara.
The Saints’ passing attack hasn’t been that bad this year, even though the play of quarterback Derek Carr has been up and down.
Playing the Rams means dealing with star defensive tackle Aaron Donald, the future Hall of Famer who has put up 6.0 sacks, 21 quarterback hits, and 13 tackles for loss so far this season, and Olave will give Carr a nice outlet when he’s being pressured.
After this weekend, the Saints will face the Buccaneers on the road on New Year’s Eve before returning home to host the Atlanta Falcons in their regular-season finale.
