Roe V Wade Overturned and Its Societal Impact

In their article, Mariana Lenharo wrote the following:

– “The US Supreme Court announced on 24 June that it would overturn the 1973 landmark decision Roe v. Wade, which had protected abortion access up until the point that a fetus can live outside the womb — typically set at 22 or 24 weeks of pregnancy. Public-health researchers have renewed their warnings about the harms that this decision will bring to the country.”

The overturning of Roe v Wade will have societal ramifications that are far-reaching and immediately felt. I’ve invited two other “trench workers” to discussed the impact this will have on the populations they work with. These individuals are competent healers of the community who face the human pain that is felt daily.

I hope you feel more informed and prepared, through this episode, of the challenges we now face as a result of a decision from the highest court in the land, The United States Supreme Court.
