The Baltimore Ravens have put themselves in a precarious position.

They decided to put the non-exclusive franchise tag on quarterback Lamar Jackson.

That gives him the ability to talk with other teams once free agency opens.

Also, other teams can agree to a deal with Jackson, but Baltimore will get the final say on any offer.

It is very rare for a team to put a non-exclusive franchise tag on their former MVP.

But, here we are.

One former NFL player is not happy with how the Jackson contract saga is unfolding.

Richard Sherman is flabbergasted by how little interest Jackson is receiving.

There are plenty of NFL teams that are in desperate need of a quarterback.

Even though Jackson will command a lot of money, he is well worth the price tag.

No quarterback has been better at winning games than Jackson since he came into the league.

He has a career record of 45-16 and has carried the Ravens for years.

Maybe it is because whatever team wants to sign Jackson has to give up two first-round picks to the Ravens.

But, we have seen plenty of times in the past that having a known commodity at the most important position is so valuable.

Some teams that should look to sign Jackson are the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, and Indianapolis Colts.

The 26-year-old will make any team an immediate contender, and he might have a few more MVP seasons left in him.

Keep an eye on how his contract discussions play out when free agency officially opens on March 15th.
