Orioles Announcer Releases Statement Upon Return
One of the more shocking developments this season in baseball was the suspension of Baltimore Orioles announcer Kevin Brown.
Brown was suspended because Orioles ownership took exception to comments he had made about the Orioles having struggled at Tropicana Field in the past, but also having seemed to reverse that trend.
The suspension caused an outcry from fans, announcers, and media members alike.
Fortunately, Brown was back in the booth for the Orioles on Friday night as they took on the Seattle Mariners.
Prior to the game, Brown released a statement, which can be found in the tweet below courtesy of Jomboy Media.

Brown began his statement by saying that he is a storyteller and never wants to be a part of the story.
He noted that the Orioles are currently the most compelling story, as they sit at the top of the American League.
Brown stated that the media has recently mischaracterized his relationship with the Orioles and clarified that he shares a special bond with the organization.
The Orioles broadcaster asked that fans disregard all of the drama that ensued following his suspension and assured them that everything was “all good here in Birdland.”
Brown closed his statement by saying he is proud to be a member of the Orioles organization and that there is no place in baseball he’d rather be.
Fortunately, Brown appears to be in good spirits, despite everything that took place.
He handled the situation with grace and class and is now ready to put it behind him.
