Wednesday will be a big day for the Denver Nuggets.

After more than a year, the team will have one of its best players again.

Jamal Murray is finally returning to the team after sitting out all last season as he recovered from injury.

Murray could do a whole lot for the team and might be the missing piece they needed to finally have a good postseason again.

The team’s leader, Nikola Jokic, is obviously very excited to have Murray back.

But he can’t let the opportunity to make a joke at his expense pass.

Speaking of Murray’s return, Jokic said, “I love to play with him, of course. I know he’s gonna be really bad for the next 20 games, but we’re gonna survive.”

This is classic Jokic: he is one of the best basketball players alive but he loves to make jokes and rag on his teammates.

What Murray Brings

There is no doubt that Jokic is a top-five NBA player right now and has earned his two MVP trophies over the last couple of seasons.

But Murray is also someone really special.

He is one of the better guards in the league and was putting up 21.2 points, 4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists a game during his last season with the Nuggets.

The Nuggets have struggled without Murray, showing that Jokic cannot carry the team completely on his own, as good as he is.

With Murray back, this team could be a jaw-dropper and might surprise the rest of the West.

He will give Jokic space to move and will take pressure off his shoulders and will also create some wonderful plays and points of his own.
