NFL Analyst Roasts Jets Owner Over ‘Win Business’ Claim
Right now, the New York Jets are reportedly involved in trade talks with the Green Bay Packers to bring Aaron Rodgers to the Tri-state area.
If Rodgers won’t make the Jets Super Bowl contenders, he will at least give them a great chance of making the playoffs, something they haven’t done since 2010.
According to The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt, Jets owner Woody Johnson said that he’s “not the patient” sort and that his team is “in the win business.”
Analyst Warren Sharp criticized Johnson for that comment, pointing out how much New York has struggled in recent years.

In 2009 and 2010, under head coach Rex Ryan, the Jets reached the AFC Championship Game, only to lose to the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers, respectively.
But since then, they have been a laughingstock, as they have finished with a winning record just once.
Last season was looking like it would be a breakthrough when they started 5-2, but they ended up winning just seven games, and much of it was due to poor quarterback play.
However, New York did have the fourth-best scoring defense thanks to studs such as Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner and All-Pro defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.
In addition, the team has the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year in wide receiver Garrett Wilson, as well as wideout Allen Lazard, who spent five years with the Packers alongside Rodgers.
If his team does indeed land Rodgers, perhaps 2023 is the year Johnson will make good on his comment regarding being “in the win business.”
