The 2022 NFL season has been filled with surprising storylines, great performances, and even trick plays.

During the Detroit Lions‘ game against the Minnesota Vikings, the Lions pulled off one of the most epic trick plays in recent memory: a third-down pass to 6-foot-5, 335-pound lineman, Penei Sewell.

Quarterback Jared Goff had one small piece of advice for Sewell, who had never been the recipient of a target in the NFL.

As long as Sewell was able to hold onto the ball and stay in bounds, he would be okay.

Goff and the Lions were able to lean on Sewell in this key moment, who was able to secure the catch en route to the Lions’ victory over the Vikings.

The Brilliance Of Dan Campbell

Lions head coach Dan Campbell was in charge of two trick plays during this game.

One was the trick play of Sewell, and the other was a fake punt, which resulted in a 42-yard rush for the Lions.

The craziest part of these two plays?

Campbell was distracted and didn’t know what was truly happening with these plays until they were happening, live.

The Lions are one of the NFL’s most prolific offenses.

Whether or not the world will be able to see Campbell and the Lions in the playoffs this season is unknown at this time.

Campbell has brought so much life to the Lions organization, that, even if they are unable to make the playoffs, they are set up well for their future.

The players believe in his leadership, and fans have quickly latched on to his goofy nature.
