The San Francisco 49ers will be playing the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, which means they will be ringing in the new year in Sin City.

That means a lot of temptations for players who will need to prepare for the game the way they always do.

Tight end George Kittle shot down any thought of him partying it up on the Vegas Strip the night before his team takes on Davante Adams and company.

There is nothing wrong with partying and enjoying one’s self, but as a pro athlete, the game must come first, especially at this point of the season when players and teams must start to get into playoff mode.

The 49ers have an 11-4 record and have wrapped up the NFC West title, but they have a shot at getting something higher than the third seed they currently hold, and if nothing else, they need to maintain their momentum into the postseason.

They currently hold an eight-game winning streak, making them the hottest team in the NFL, not to mention a scary one, especially on defense.

Kittle Is Having A Wonderful Season

Kittle missed San Francisco’s first two games this year with a groin injury, and he was a bit sluggish when he first returned to the field.

But as time has gone on, he has picked things up and looked like his best self.

He has scored two touchdowns while collecting 93 and 120 yards, respectively, in each of his last two games.

Kittle has benefitted from the emergence of Brock Purdy, the Niners’ new starting quarterback, as he has the ability to find Kittle deep downfield in a way that Jimmy Garoppolo can’t really match.
