Gardner Minshew Reveals His First Impressions Of Anthony Richardson

When the Indianapolis Colts used the No. 4 overall pick on Anthony Richardson in this year’s draft, they received mixed reviews.
Some around the league believed that Richardson was too raw of a prospect, while others believed he was ready for NFL action.
Despite what others have said about him, his new teammate Gardner Minshew had his own analysis.
“Wow, this dude’s really got a chance,” Minshew said in a press conference.

Minshew’s NFL career has seen various ups and downs.
He started 12 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019, inciting “Minshew Mania” across the nation.
Despite having early success, his production has fallen as of late, starting just 12 games in the past three seasons.
He has been in NFL locker rooms for four seasons, however, and has been in a locker room with Jalen Hurts for the last two years.
When referencing Richardson, Minshew said, “He’s very quick, and his feet are very quick, and I think he can get the ball out and process fast.”
By using early first-round capital on Richardson, the Colts put their money where their mouth is, telling the NFL world what they think of him.
The team is loaded with offensive talent, including players like Michael Pittman Jr and Jonathan Taylor.
Both of these players should be great options for Richardson’s first season, presuming he is the day-one starter.
If Richardson’s pre-draft and initial post-draft intangibles are any indication, his athleticism should shine through, making for an instant impact.
