Sadie Sink may have captured the hearts of fans as the character Max in Stranger Things, but it wasn’t very long ago that she was playing a different notable role. Many people forget that Sink played Annie on Broadway.

Recent videos of the star singing “Tomorrow” have surfaced and fans of Stranger Things were shocked to see that she had such a role.

Many fans took this as a chance to stroll down memory lane and they went through their playbills to see if they had ever watched Sink on Broadway. Most were surprised that they actually had seen the actress.

Others shared their shock of realizing that they saw her and not evening knowing it. Some people felt that the actress might be embarrassed by her previous role, but that doesn’t necessarily seem like the case.

Broadway is also where she met co-star Caleb McLaughlin. The two would hang out in their free time and were good friends before they got their roles on Stranger Things. McLaughlin commented on their friendship saying how they met and that their chemistry and real friendship made them better friends on the show. He said,

“Max and Lucas, they started off as friends, so their relationship is very genuine, and you can see that this season. They’re really there for each other. I feel that because of Sadie and I’s friendship, it’s easy to just have that same type of relationship on the show.”

Sadie almost didn’t get the role in Stranger Things and that there were so many other kids who auditioned who looked very similar. Sadie told Teen Vogue in a recent video,

“I was just like ‘no, give me more material, I wanna go in again. And I got there and we were all the same height, the same age, we had nothing to worry about.”
