The team would like to see Hurts make the next step and prove that he is their franchise quarterback.
While he does show flashes of greatness, his passing accuracy is still suspect.
The 2022 season will be the biggest test in his NFL career because his production will decide the Eagles’ plans for next year’s draft.
They got an extra pick in round one of the 2023 draft thanks to a trade with the New Orleans Saints.
If Hurts does well, they wouldn’t use that pick for a quarterback.
