Domi & JD Beck Tap Anderson .Paak for New Song “Take a Chance”: Watch the Video
Domi & JD Beck have shared the new song “Take a Chance,” featuring Anderson .Paak. It’s the third single from the jazz duo’s forthcoming debut, Not Tight, which gets released on July 29 via .Paak’s Apeshit Inc. in partnership with Blue Note. Domi (who was born Domitille Degalle and also uses the stage name Domi Louna) is a keyboardist who has studied at the Paris Conservatory and Boston’s Berklee College of Music. She met the Dallas-bred drummer JD Beck in 2018. The duo has since performed “Them Changes” with Thundercat and Ariana Grande for the virtual Adult Swim Festival and co-written the Silk Sonic song “Skate.”
In addition to “Take a Chance,” Not Tight includes the singles “Smile” and “Whatup.” The record also has contributions from Mac DeMarco, Herbie Hancock, Snoop Dogg, Thundercat, Busta Rhymes, and Kurt Rosenwinkel.
