Cardinals Analyst Reminds Fans Baseball Is Nearly Back
As the City of St. Louis and all St. Louis Cardinals fans celebrate the election of fan-favorite Scott Rolen to the Baseball Hall of Fame, there are even more things to be excited about.
In exactly a month, the team will play its first spring training game against the Washington Nationals.
This means that fans will have a chance to see Willson Contreras in his new Cardinals threads for the first time.
On Twitter, Katie Woo, the lead Cardinals writer for The Athletic, posted a little reminder that baseball is right around the corner and that soon fans will be able to see the team in action.
A little reminder as we deal with snow and ice in STL today…. The first #STLCards spring training game is one month from now https://t.co/dlOZjc7SQW

Despite somewhat of a quiet offseason, there are plenty of things to look forward to for Cardinals fans.
Aside from seeing Contreras don a Cardinals uniform for the first time, fans will have a chance to witness the final season for a franchise legend in Adam Wainwright.
They’ll also get to see MVP Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado back in action.
But above all else, this is a reminder that baseball is on its way back, and that the winter months won’t last much longer.
This time, there is no lockout to sit through, as there was last winter.
Players will report to spring camp on time and we will have a normal season for the first time since 2019.
And though Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina are both gone, the Cardinals have plenty of young talent to be excited about such as Brendan Donovan, Nolan Gorman, Juan Yepez, and Lars Nootbaar.
