The Brooklyn Nets got a 109-102 win over the Orlando Magic on Monday, but for a few fans in the stands, the game wasn’t even the highlight of the night.

Instead, their night was made when Nets star Ben Simmons went out of his way to take a selfie with them.

It’s certainly a moment the kids will never forget, and it’s great to see that Simmons is enjoying life in the NBA again after he went through a difficult 2021-22 season.

The 26-year-old ended up leaving Monday’s game due to soreness in his left knee, but it doesn’t sound too serious, as it’s being called a day-to-day situation.

Nets Finally Reach .500 Again

After Brooklyn’s win over Orlando, the Nets (11-11) are now .500 again for the first time since they were 1-1.

It’s a step in the right direction for the squad, and Simmons played a big role in helping Brooklyn get there.

The three-time All-Star had a very slow start to the season, but that came to an end earlier this month.

Excluding his injury-shortened outing against Orlando on Monday, Simmons has averaged 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game since Nov. 17 while shooting a ridiculous 80.4 percent from the field.

Hopefully, his left knee issue won’t keep him out of the lineup for too long.

The Nets will be back in action on Wednesday for a game against the Washington Wizards at home.

If Brooklyn wins that one, the team will find itself above .500 for the first time this season.
