Aaron Judge Comments On His Historic Home Run Ball

Baseball players love to save the ball associated with milestones and cool achievements.

For example, New York Yankees catcher Jose Trevino asked his dugout to save the ball with which Gerrit Cole broke the franchise record for most strikeouts in a season on Tuesday night.

The fan who caught Aaron Judge‘s 60th home run gave it back to him.

On Tuesday night, Cory Youmans, who works in an investment firm and is the husband of Dallas Cowboys and Mavericks reporter Bri Amaranthus, caught the ball.

Asked by the media what he planned to do with it, he said that he hadn’t thought about it yet.

Judge Would Love To Have The Ball, But…

For his part, the Yankees star admitted that he would like the get the ball back, but he understands it doesn’t belong to him.

“Aaron Judge says ‘it would be great to get’ his 62nd home run ball back, but ultimately it’s up to the fan: ‘That’s a souvenir for a fan. They made a great catch out there and they have every right to it,’” SNY Yankees tweeted, with Judge’s remarks.

An honest man: he would love to get it, as it would be a cool reminder of all the work he put in this season to be the owner of the Yanks’ single-season home run record.

However, he knows he isn’t in a position to get the ball back unless the fan gives it back.

There is no telling how much the ball could be worth, but it could be six or seven figures.

It’s quite valuable, even if it’s not the single-season home run record in MLB.
