The Philadelphia Phillies have been hosting lots of celebrities, former players, and even stars from other sports in their three home games of the World Series.

Politicians, musicians, actors, and other personalities have also made their presence felt.

The team, for its part, has been inviting former World Series heroes and Phillies legends to hang out and watch the games.

Some of them have also been honored with making the ceremonial first pitch before games.

Two former Phillies greats, Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley, are some of those stars from former times who have gone to Citizens Bank Park.

Rollins is looking as smooth as ever, and Utley is rocking a different hair color.

Phillies fans have a soft spot for both of them.

That’s why watching them bringing back a familiar handshake brought back so many memories of them patrolling Philadelphia’s middle infield.

@JimmyRollins11 & Chase Utley did THE Thing,” Underground Sports Philadelphia tweeted.

During their playing days, they used to do a “low” handshake, which they recreated on Wednesday night.

Fans, predictably, went crazy.

Two Franchise Greats Reunited

Rollins played in Philadelphia from 2000 until 2014.

He completed a marvelous career that included a .264 batting average, 2,455 hits, 231 home runs, 936 RBI and 470 stolen bases.

He was selected to three All-Star Games (2001, 2002, 2005), he was the 2007 NL MVP, won four Gold Gloves (2007–2009, 2012) and led the National League in stolen bases in 2001.

Utley retired with a .275 batting average, 259 home runs and 1,025 RBI.

He went to six All-Star Games and won four Silver Slugger awards, cementing his place as one of the Phillies’ most prolific second basemen.

Most importantly, Rollins and Utley won the 2008 World Series together.

They will always be remembered in Philadelphia.
