2 NBA Teams To Be Concerned About Early In The Season
More than a quarter of the 2022-23 NBA season is in the books already, and there have been some surprises around the league so far.
A few teams have dug themselves a sizable hole already, and if they don’t rectify their issues, they could end up watching the postseason on TV instead of participating in it this spring.
These two teams have plenty to be concerned about, although there is enough time for them to turn things around.
Golden State Warriors
Who would’ve thought the defending world champs would be just 11-11 at this point of the season?

Stephen Curry is having an outstanding, MVP-caliber season, but he isn’t getting the kind of support he is used to getting, at both ends of the floor.
The Warriors’ defense has been particularly problematic, as they rank 22nd in defensive rating.
There is some reason for hope, however, as they have won eight of their last 12 contests, and in that span, they’re 11th in defensive rating.
Philadelphia 76ers
As usual, the 76ers have one of the strongest rosters in the Eastern Conference, but they have been forced to deal with key injuries.
James Harden and Tyrese Maxey, their starting guards, are both out with foot injuries, while Joel Embiid has also missed time with a foot ailment of his own.
With a 12-9 record, Philly is in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, which may make it seem it is staying within striking distance, but it ranks just 16th in offensive rating and 24th in points per game.
It is starting to look like this will be yet another season where, one way or another, the Sixers will find a way to underachieve when it is all said and done.
