The AFC Championship game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs is finally upon us.

These two teams met in the AFC title last year, in a game the Bengals won in overtime.

Both of these teams are led by elite quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow.

The game will most likely be decided on the arm of those two players.

Here are two bold predictions for the AFC Championship game.

Burrow and Chase Connect For 3 Touchdowns

One of the best quarterback-wide receiver duos in the NFL is Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase.

Both players are among the best in the league at their positions.

In last year’s AFC title game, Chase recorded 11 receptions for 266 yards and three touchdowns.

There should be no doubt the star wide receiver is in for another dominant performance.

One reason is that the Chiefs have no one that can guard Chase one on one.

He is a matchup nightmare and Burrow should look his way plenty in this game.

Cincinnati is a pass-first team, so having success through the air is the best chance they have of winning this game.

Kansas City Fails To Score 20 Points

Amongst their 17-game regular season and one playoff game, the Chiefs have only scored less than 20 points once.

That was in a loss to the Indianapolis Colts back in Week 3.

For the Bengals to hold them under 20 they will need to be dominant up front.

The pass rush will need to get after Mahomes all game and force him to try and use his injured ankle to move.

Cincinnati’s defense put on a clinic against the Bills last week in Buffalo, holding them to only 10 points.

The Bengals gave up only 20.1 points per game during the regular season.

Plus they held the Chiefs to 24 points when they played in Week 13.
