What is equity? Equity is just the price of your home which you can sell it for minus any liens against the property. So, in a nutshell, if your home is worth $200,000 and you have a $150,000
of liens against them, mortgages, or any issues like that, you would have a $50,000 of equity.

And with appreciation at an all-time high people are utilizing appreciation and equity as for either big down payments on a bigger home or they’re taking that equity and investing in investment properties or a lot of people are taking this equity and use it as vacation home to put a down payment on their vacation home.

So, equity in a nutshell is just what your home is worth minus all the taxes and liens against it.
