Ukrainian air forces struck enemy positions twice in past day
Over the past day, Ukrainian air forces have struck enemy positions twice, and Ukraine’s missile and artillery units have hit five Russian command posts and one enemy personnel cluster.
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces off Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Russian invaders have launched a missile strike on the Kharkiv region’s Kupiansk over the past day. Additionally, they opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 10 times.
In the Siverskyi direction, Russian troops shelled the positions of Ukrainian forces near the Sumy region’s Vyntorivka, Manukhivka, Ryzhivka and Vorozhba.
In the Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy launched mortar and artillery strikes on the Kharkiv region’s Strilecha, Starytsia, Zemlianka, Ustynivka and Vilkhuvatka.
In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian occupiers used tanks and artillery to open fire on over 25 settlements, including the Kharkiv region’s Dvorichna, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka and Berestove, the Luhansk region’s Ploshchanka, Dibrova and Chervonopopivka, and the Donetsk region’s Yampolivka.
In the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, Russian troops shelled over 20 settlements, namely the Donetsk region’s Spirne, Berestove, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Opytne, Ozarianivka and New York.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy opened fire near the Donetsk region’s Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka and Vremivka.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, over 20 settlements came under enemy fire, including the Zaporizhzhia region’s Huliaipole, Chervone, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Shcherbaky and Charivne, and the Dnipropetrovsk region’s Nikopol.
In order to intimidate civilians, Russian invaders continue chaotically shelling the right bank of the Dnieper. The Kherson region’s city of Beryslav is remaining under continuous enemy fire. Additionally, Russian attacks caused damage to civil infrastructure in the Kherson region’s Respublikanets, Tiahynka, Zelenivka, Inzhenerne, Anronivka, Sadove, Veletenske, and the city of Kherson. Casualties among civilians were reported.
According to the confirmed data, Russia’s personnel and military equipment clusters were hit in previous days. In the Donetsk region, four 2S7 Pion self-propelled artillery systems were destroyed. Near the Kherson region’s Zabaryne, the enemy headquarters was struck, where officers from Russia’s Southern Military District were holding a meeting. As a result, up to 70 Russian servicemen were injured. The number of those killed is yet to be checked.
