For young MLB fans, home runs are exciting.

However, speed can be just as exciting in their eyes, if not more.

Our generation is continually impressed by elite athletic ability, and for good reason.

If they want a show, the Arizona DiamondbacksCorbin Carroll has the potential to offer one every single day of the week.

Just look at the man go:

That’s some serious speed right there.

Having already impressed in a short MLB cameo last year with the D-Backs, Carroll is ready to cement his position as an everyday player for his team.

He is a top-five prospect in baseball and he will show the world why in 2023.

Last season, he managed to slash .260/.330/.500 with four home runs and two stolen bases in just 32 games as a 22-year-old rookie.

He does have a modest strikeout problem, but he can be productive regardless of it.

Between three levels (Double-A, Triple-A, and MLB) Carroll hit 27 home runs and stole 33 bases last year.

Those are some impressive numbers.

He has impact power and speed and could be a future member of the 30-30 club or, why not, the vaunted 40-40 club.

His speed impacts the game in more than one way: he is a very good defensive outfielder thanks to it, he can steal bases in bunches, and he can easily stretch a single into a double and a double into a triple.

Watching him run the bases is one of the most exciting things in baseball.

We will have him for a full season in 2023, and hopefully beyond.
