  1. Philadelphia

There is only one place to begin, and this is with Philadelphia. The fun never ends here, and there is something for everyone. From historical buildings to casinos, Philadelphia has it all. Pennsylvania is a place that has something for everyone, and if it is peace and tranquility that you are looking for, Lancaster will certainly deliver. It is a rural paradise. With farmland and rolling hills, this is the ideal place to get away from it all. There is a Dutch community here and many Amish farms, making it an incredibly interesting place to visit too. A lot of people enjoy driving through Lancaster, but a stop is a must! The farmers’ markets are some of the best you will find in the whole of the United States.

Harrisburg is the state’s capital. It sits along the Susquehanna River, with urban progress and a hilly landscape surrounding it. There are two main attractions here that bring in tourists from far and wide; the State Museum of Pennsylvania and the Capitol building. The Civil War Museum is well worth a visit. Plus, you can enjoy the stretch of land between Wormleysburg and Harrisburg if you want to get out in the open and take in your surroundings.

Finally, Pittsburgh has a very industrial appearance. It is rustic yet vibrant, with an edge to it that a lot of modern travelers appreciate. There are some great museums here, with the Andy Warhol Museum being a real highlight. The Kennywood Amusement Park is also an attraction that all of the family can enjoy.
