The New York Jets are in a privileged position right now.

Not only do they have a promising young core and cap space, but they may also be on the verge of trading for superstar QB Aaron Rodgers.

On top of that, they also have a top-15 pick, specifically No. 13, and ESPN expert Todd McShay believes they’ll go with OT Broderick Jones out of Georgia with that selection.

Jones was one of the most impressive linemen at the combine.

He led all players in his position with a 4.97 speed in the 40-yard dash, rising his draft stock despite being one of the least experienced players in his class.

He made just 19 starts in college, but his physical traits make scouts think that he’s got the makings of a superstar at the next level.

Also, he’s 6-foot-5 and 311 pounds, and not many guys with that kind of size and weight could move as fast as he could.

The Jets will have 37-year-old Duane Brown and injury-prone Mekhi Becton on the offensive line.

The team has yet to make a decision on Becton’s fifth-year option, and not many veterans can be counted on to play a full season, either.

Also, George Fant might as well leave in free agency, so there’s an obvious need for reinforcement in the offensive line in free agency or the Draft.

So, you have to be quite happy and enthusiasm if you’re Aaron Rodgers right now, as you might as well be quite protected for years to come on your next team.
