The Ravens Interviewed A Notable Name For Offensive Coordinator This Week

The Baltimore Ravens need a new offensive coordinator.

After moving off Greg Roman after six seasons of coaching the team, Baltimore is in the middle of an OC search.

There are plenty of coaches that would love the opportunity to coach an offense led by Lamar Jackson.

One of the notable names the Ravens interviewed this week was Georgia OC Todd Monken.

After putting together one of the most dominant performances in the National Championship game, Monken deserves NFL consideration.

Monken previously coached in the NFL as the Cleveland Browns OC in 2019.

During that season the Browns left a lot to be desired as an offense.

They ranked 22nd in yards and points per game, but the Browns did not have much at quarterback during that season.

It will certainly be interesting to see what Monken can do in the NFL with a more established QB.

But, any OC that will agree to coach the Ravens almost certainly wants Jackson to be a quarterback.

So his current contract uncertainty could cause some coaches to be weary of taking the position.

Another interesting name the Ravens have interviewed for OC is Zac Robinson.

He is the current pass game coordinator/QB coach of the Los Angeles Rams and was a former NFL quarterback.

Getting someone from the Sean McVay tree of coaches is always a good idea.

McVay is one of the top offensive minds in the game and Robinson certainly learned plenty from him over the years.

No matter where the Ravens decide to go with their OC, they need Jackson to be on the team and healthy to have success.
