The Panthers Are Signing A Former Eagles RB
The Carolina Panthers appeared to start a rebuilding project in October, and they already look considerably different.
They have a new head coach in Frank Reich, and they will have the first pick in next month’s NFL draft by virtue of a trade that sent four picks and wide receiver D.J. Moore to the Chicago Bears.
On Wednesday, Carolina made another big splash by snagging running back Miles Sanders, who was a key member of the Philadelphia Eagles this past season.

Sanders ran for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2022, and he helped the Eagles finish fifth in rushing yards and tops in rushing touchdowns during the regular season.
He also helped them reach the Super Bowl, where they blew a sizable lead and lost on a late field goal to the Kansas City Chiefs.
While this move will weaken Philly, it will give the Panthers another legitimate weapon.
They already have D’Onta Foreman, a running back who posted 914 yards and five touchdowns, with almost all of his production coming after Christian McCaffrey was traded in October.
Together, Foreman and Sanders should take plenty of pressure off whoever will start at quarterback for Carolina next season.
With the first pick in the draft, it will have its choice of Bryce Young from the University of Houston, C.J. Stroud of Ohio State University and the University of Florida’s Anthony Richardson.
Sanders will be just 26 years of age next season, so he could be a part of the Panthers’ core for the next several years.
