TARANTULAS… IN LOUISIANA!?

On today’s adventure, we’re heading up to the rocky hillsides of the central Louisiana pine forests in search of some bizarre bugs…. scorpions, centipedes, and…. tarantulas?….. Yep! We’re going after tarantulas in my home state!

Central Louisiana is home to many species many people may have never heard of, this is because of the sprawling pine forest landscape that goes relatively underappreciated by the general public, being home to many endangered snakes, mammals, turtles, and tarantulas, which while common, are a species of special concern here. These rocky areas are also home to many species I’ve never seen before, so you might be seeing some more videos from these habitats in the near and distant future!
