Summer Seminars 2022: M. Zerba (Louisiana) Eleusis at the Intersection of Antiquity and Modernity

This lecture was part of the Summer Research Seminar Series 2022 in the Department of Classics at the University of Reading. In summer term 2022, we welcomed a wide range of speakers from both the UK and abroad on a variety of topics related to Classics and Archaeology, Classical Reception, and interdisciplinary approaches. The seminars were delivered in a blended way, with both online and in-person coverage, and all recordings will be gradually available on our YouTube Channel.

This lecture was delivered by Professor Michelle Zerba (Louisiana State University) in June 2022. The title of the seminar was ‘Eleusis at the Intersection of Antiquity and Modernity: The Mysteria, Altered Consciousness, and the Neuroscience of Transformational Experience’.
