State Treasury Department supports Louisiana logging industry with new grant

The Louisiana Loggers Relief Program is offering free money to people in the logging industry in Louisiana. The State Treasury Department says loggers can receive a 25 thousand dollar grant. A Shreveport logging business was awarded their grant Tuesday afternoon. It’s part of the Mainstreet Recovery Program that was passed by the State Legislature to help industries during the pandemic. Loggers were left out of the first round of funding. The program still has 9 million dollars left to give away and ends in December.
