The upcoming AFC Championship Game looks to be an entertaining rematch of last year’s conference title game featuring the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs.

Fox Sports 1 personality Skip Bayless is picking the Bengals to win and advance to their second straight Super Bowl appearance, and he made it clear that quarterback Joe Burrow is the chief reason why.

In some ways, relative to the success they have had over the last two years, the Bengals have flown just under the radar, while much of the preseason hype was focused on the Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills.

However, Cincinnati had its way with Josh Allen and company last weekend in the divisional round, defeating them 27-10.

While Allen was subpar, completing just 25 of 42 passes while throwing zero touchdown passes, Burrow had a steady hand, going 23 of 36 and notching two touchdown passes against zero interceptions.

In Week 13, the Bengals hosted the Chiefs, and Burrow outplayed Patrick Mahomes, connecting on 25 of 31 passes and throwing two touchdown passes, including one to Chris Evans in the fourth quarter to put his team ahead for good.

Of course, in last year’s AFC Championship Game, the Bengals were clutch, forcing a Mahomes interception in overtime, which led to the game-winning field goal by Evan McPherson.

The fact that Mahomes is dealing with a sprained ankle and doesn’t have standout wide receiver Tyreek Hill anymore makes it seem like Cincinnati has a date with destiny coming up in Super Bowl LVII.

It lost to the Los Angeles Rams in last year’s Super Bowl, and should it make it back, there is a chance it will play the San Francisco 49ers there, a team it lost to in both of its previous Super Bowl appearances in the 1980s.
