“Celebrating Louisiana’s Swamps” with Ben Pierce

Ben Pierce is landscape photographer based in Lafayette. He leads private photography trips through the swamps of his beloved state of Louisiana. His images reflect the diverse wilderness and valuable ecosystem that a swamp provides and hopes that by sharing his work he will encourage people to preserve and protect the bayou waters that he calls his playground.

In his presentation, Ben will discuss his process for capturing beautiful swamp images, including his pre-shoot routine for identifying the best days for photography, tips for photographing from a kayak/canoe and what he looks for in his compositions, along with the myths about being in a swamp.
