The Philadelphia Phillies are going to the World Series.

Yes, it may seem very hard to believe given their roller-coaster season that had them with a 22-29 record in June and included a managerial change and “just” 87 regular season wins, but here they are.

They are here because they got hot at the right time, playing with fire and determination.

They believed in themselves, and now are four games away from glory.

And they are here because of Bryce Harper.

The reigning 2021 NL MVP hit a crucial home run on Sunday, in Game 5 of the NL Championship Series against the San Diego Padres, in the bottom of the eighth.

San Diego was up 3-2 and Harper was facing relief ace Robert Suarez.

After a long, hard-fought at-bat, Harper drilled an opposite-field missile with a man on base to turn the score around and secure the ticket to the Fall Classic.

The Phillies Sure Know How To Keep Their Fans Engaged

Since the World Series starts on Friday, many fans don’t know what to do.

Luckily, the always creative Phillies Twitter account had a trick under its sleeve.

“Hey friends! We’re working on a social project and would love to see your reactions to Bryce’s home run on Sunday. Reply with your videos if you’ve got ’em,” they wrote.

As you would expect, replies started flowing with some really intense videos:

It’s really amazing to see the raucous crowd celebrating and yelling at the stadium.

This one wasn’t in the stadium, but it’s really wholesome:

It was, without a doubt, the most important home run in Harper’s MLB tenure, and he has a lot of them.

He is already a hero in Philadelphia, but if he can lead his team to defeat the Houston Astros, he may reach God-like status.
