SEOUL, South Korea — The 26th Pentecostal World Conference (PWC) convenes Wednesday, October 12th, in Seoul, Korea, at the Yoido Full Gospel Church, the world’s largest Spirit-empowered congregation.  The event is sponsored by the Pentecostal World Fellowship (PWF).  The theme is “Pentecostal Revival in the Next Generation.”  Moderators for the 2022 triennial event are Dr. William Wilson, chair of the PWF, and Dr. Younghoon Lee, pastor of the host church.  The attendance is expected to exceed 20,000 worshippers.

The program includes four plenary sessions over two days, eleven workshop tracks, and discussion forums on the topics “Pentecostal Revival in the Next Generation, and “Pentecostal Leadership Challenges and Opportunities.”  Friday, October 14th, will feature a prayer event at the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea. The concluding service that night will be a Holy Spirit crusade.

Dr. Wilson stated, “I am excited about this gathering of Spirit-empowered leaders.  We believe this week is a Divine appointment.  We trust the Lord to use this meeting powerfully and turn our hearts even more toward new generations.”

The keynote speakers for the PWC include Dr. Wilson, Dr. Lee, Rev. Dominic Yeo, Christine Caine (Australia, A21), Rev. Daniel Alm Sweden, Pingst), Bishop Dr. Timothy Hill (USA, Church of God, USA), Dr. David Mohan (India Assemblies of God), Pastor Glyn Barrett (United Kingdom Assemblies of God), Rev. In addition to the general sessions and workshops, the PWC also features various working groups, including World Missions Commission, The World Alliance for Pentecostal Theological Education, the Pentecostal Commission on Religious Liberty, and the Christian Unity Commission. The 26th PWC also inaugurates the launch of the PWF Ambassador Program, a new initiative designed to foster unity in the Spirit-empowered church with a PWF ambassador in every nation.

Dr. Lee expressed his anticipation for the conference saying, “As God’s people worship together, with one heart, united, lifting holy hands, and crying out in unison, I believe we will witness the Power of God and His hand at work.”

The plenary sessions and workshops will be live-streamed on the PWC web page. News from the event will be posted on the PWF Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.
