This video shows the legendary P-51D Mustang “Louisiana Kid”. It begins with a spectacular engine start of the powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, the heart of the P-51 Mustang. Huge flames suddenly shoot out of the exhaust pipes. The “Louisiana Kid” then taxied proudly and majestically to runway 03 at Engadin Airport in the midst of the Swiss mountains. An amazing take-off followed with 1’671 hp. The friendly pilot performed a spectacular low pass with unmistakable Rolls-Royce Merlin sounds followed by a very steep climb-out in the midst of the most beautiful Swiss Alps.
