Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. recently held a workout that had representatives from many NFL teams in attendance, and there is no shortage of rumors about where he may be headed.

One of the latest rumors have him heading back to the Tri-state area to play for the New York Jets and team up with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is presumably on his way there as well.

Reportedly, the two former Pro Bowlers have talked about playing together in the Big Apple.

While it is an intriguing idea, fans feel the two won’t quite get the job done for the Jets.

Some people even feel it will be a repeat of the failed combo of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant on the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, who never reached the Eastern Conference Finals despite massive hype.

Beckham started his NFL career with a blast in 2014 with the New York Giants, making the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons while putting up over 1,300 yards in each of those campaigns.

But in recent years, injuries have seriously slowed him down.

Among those injuries have been two torn ACLs that he suffered in less than an 18-month span, the second of which he sustained during Super Bowl LVI with the Los Angeles Rams.

Once Beckham recovered from that injury late last season, he started to campaign for a return to the NFL, but he still doesn’t have a team.

At this point of his career, his best bet will likely be as a situational receiver for a team that already has a legitimate first and second threat at wideout, and the Jets fit the bill, as they have Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson and former Rodgers teammate Allen Lazard.
