We probably don’t need to tell you that Philadelphia Phillies slugger Bryce Harper is an elite hitter.

In what has been a season filled with painful, nagging injuries for him, he is still leading the charge for the Phils, as they won Game 3 on Tuesday night and are now two victories away from winning the World Series against the Houston Astros.

He opened the scoring last night with a towering two-run shot against Lance McCullers Jr.

He also played coach, as he called Alec Bohm to give him some pointers right before the third baseman homered himself.

In postseason play, Harper is hitting an incredible .382/.414/.818 with six home runs.

Harper Hit Another Gear In The Playoffs

He is doing that after having thumb surgery this year and with an elbow injury.

“Just a reminder that Bryce Harper’s arm is messed up enough that he can’t throw a baseball or play outfield right now and he’s still obliterating everything in sight,” Cespedes Family BBQ tweeted.

Yes: since May, Harper has been limited to DH duties because he can’t make throws from the outfield because of an elbow ailment.

That hasn’t stopped him from mashing, though.

He had a cool .877 OPS in the regular season, which is still a bit below his lofty standards.

The playoffs, however, have brought out the best of him, as he has a fantastic 1.232 OPS.

He has been a big reason why the Phillies are where they currently are, with 13 RBI in 14 postseason games.

It doesn’t matter if he isn’t playing the outfield: as long as his name is in the lineup, Phillies fans will be happy and opposing pitchers will feel threatened.
