Love, 225: Episode 8 (full)- from downtown to Hollywood & gunshot survivor's beautiful voice.

On this episode of Love 225, we go from downtown Baton Rouge to Hollywood with our feature stories and special guests.

In the color and culture segment, we visit Olivia Stewert, owner of Oxbow Rum Distillery in downtown Baton Rouge. She takes us inside their barrels to learn about their “cane-to-glass” process, turning Louisiana sugar cane into Louisiana rum.

Then, acclaimed filmmaker and Baker native, Keith Beauchamp, joins us to talk about his most recent film, Till, and his road to tell the story Mamie Till-Mobley, mother of Emmitt Till.

Later, Ariel Simone, a singer/songwriter, joins us to talk about how being a gun violence survivor has fueled her music. After another round of ‘You Be The Judge, Simone gives a moving special performance of her song, “The Golden Torch.”
