Louisiana's Special School District Superintendent's May 2021 Address

In the May 2021 address for the Special School District, Superintendent Ernest Garrett III begins by celebrating the successes of the Student Health Center during Nurse Appreciation Week. Next, he details the work within our schools including highlighting a graduate from Renaissance Home. Also, the Superintendent takes a moment to spotlight Allen Crosby, who revised a Honorable Mention in the sixth Congressional District’s High School Art competition.

Next, the Superintendent discusses the family engagement activities led by Deaf experts held over the past year and
provides an update on the development of the Early Childhood Center.

Finally, the Superintendent goes on to discuss Graduation 2021 and give a congratulations to all the scholars including valedictorians, Josiah Singleton of LSVI and Capriani Frank of LSD and salutatorians Tyra Schanette of LSVI and D’Ericion Hayes of LSD.
