On today’s adventure, we head off into the Pine Savannahs of south Louisiana is search of North Americas Smallest Pit Viper, and the worlds smallest rattlesnake species, the pygmy rattlesnake! Of the three subspecies of pygmy rattlesnake, the western pygmy is the only one I have yet to find, and is my local pygmy species, so hopefully we’ll get a chance to finally show one of these snakes, and see just why size doesn’t matter when it comes to one of the coolest venomous snakes this region has to offer! On our search for this rare little rattler species, we’ll be seeing many other species this biome has to offer! As always we hope y’all enjoy this video! 😀
