6/7/1971 – On this day in 1971 Louis Armstrong one of the greatest Musicians in American History passed away at the age 69 . Armstrong nicknamed ‘Satchmo’ and ‘Pop’ was one of most influential trumpeters singers and personalities ever in the history of jazz . From Louisiana his career lasted some 5 decades and was fundamental in the evolution of Jazz and his footprint on the music was spread all through the world . He is a true American Legend !
