Louisiana law requires an individual to have a real estate license when engaging in real estate activity.
Anytime someone is engaging with the public with real estate for a Commission, they must obtain a real estate license from the Louisiana real estate Commission.
End the licensing requirements of the revised statutes, there are exemptions to having a real estate license. For example, a person selling their own home or purchasing their own home does not have to have a license. An attorney in the course of their normal legal representation does not have to have a real estate license.
