Lamar Jackson is the heart and soul of the Baltimore Ravens.

That’s why it’s so inexplicable that they didn’t want to meet his demands and that multiple other teams have already expressed that they’re not interested in his services.

Jackson is an elite quarterback by almost every metric, and he’s beaten that narrative about him not being a good passer over and over.

As a matter of fact, he’s one of just five quarterbacks to have a 96+ passer rating and 100 pass TD in his first 61 career starts, according to Hard Rock Sportsbook.

Notably, he’s joined in that exclusive club by the likes of Deshaun Watson, Aaron Rodgers, Dan Marino, and Patrick Mahomes.

Jackson took to Twitter to express his pride over that remarkable stat, once again fueling the debate about his contract.

We get that there should be some durability concerns for a guy like him.

He loves to scramble, and that’s perhaps the thing he’s best at.

He’s also failed to finish the past two seasons, so it’s normal to see that there are doubts about offering him a fully guaranteed deal.

But he’s also one of the best players in the league, a former MVP, and a guy that’s just entering his prime.

Finding a franchise quarterback might as well be the hardest part of putting together an NFL team.

The Ravens are lucky enough to have theirs already, so they should start acting like they actually believe in him and want him to be there for the long run.
