The Boston Celtics destroyed the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night, putting that team in its place with a massive 140-105 victory.

Marcus Smart did well for Boston with 22 points and 15 rebounds, as did Derrick White with 15, Malcolm Brogdon with 21, and up-and-comer Sam Hauser with 11 of his own.

But it was Jayson Tatum who, again, lit up the scoreboard the most.

Tatum put up 35 points in yet another masterclass of basketball.

He’s been having a great season from the very beginning but November has definitely been Tatum’s month.

He has scored 411 points this month, which surpassed any other Celtics player in history.

Second place on that list was John Havlicek back in 1971 with 406 points.

And the Celtics have one more game in November for Tatum to build upon that record.

Tatum’s MVP Season

Tatum is averaging 30.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists a game.

Those are some of the best numbers in the entire NBA and easily have Tatum in the running for MVP this season.

Competition is tough, as Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo are trying their best to also win the trophy.

But it’ll be hard to top Tatum if he is still playing like this when April and May roll around.

There is no reason to think he won’t keep it up and continue to produce numbers like this.

He was consistent all of last season and carried his power all the way to the NBA Finals.

During the summer, Tatum doubled down on his skills, perfecting his approach to the game and focusing even more on racking up big victories.

Right now, it’s all paying off: the Celtics are the top team in the East with a strong 17-4 record.
