How Louisiana Oysters are Harvested

We head down to Empire, Louisiana south of New Orleans in Plaquemines Parish for a truly unique morning. The Tesvich family has been harvesting oysters for several generations, and now they are offering Oyster Tours to the general public where you actually go out on an oyster lugger to the oyster reef and see how these reefs are seeded, how oysters grow, and how they are harvested.
